Hastings is being honored for Overall Excellence – Leadership in the Professional Market, one of the magazine’s top two awards.

Hastings’ submission focused on Innovative Thinking in three areas: our Distribution Center for innovation in distribution, HireElements for innovation in recruiting, and our Success in Social Media Series for innovation in marketing. Branford Building Supplies Celebrates 75 Years with Special Guest, Susan Marvin

On Thursday, October 10, Susan Marvin wrapped up a week-long tour of New England with a stop at Branford Building Supplies to help them celebrate 75 years of business.  The celebration kicked off with a Thimble Island Cruise in Stony Creek Harbor, followed by a cocktail reception and dinner at Pine Orchard Yacht & Country Club in Branford, CT.

Susan Marvin led a well-received discussion at the dinner, with topics including Marvin’s company heritage, Marvin windows as a solution for coastal environments, the Marvin commitment to quality, and industry trends. Attendees included architects, builders, and contractors from the south-western CT area.

Branford Building Supplies has been owned and operated by the Giordano family in Branford, CT since the 1930’s. The Marvin Design Gallery is also an ACE hardware store and full service lumberyard that specializes in complex projects, historic renovations, and buildings in coastal, rural, and urban settings.
